What is the new Custom Content Score about?

Optimize Amazon content with Content Score, tailored benchmarks, and an easy-to-read Traffic Light System

Content is King!👑

The information on your product detail page often acts as the key to a successful conversion rate. Monitoring and optimizing content is paramount. To simplify this, we've introduced the Content Score – a percentage-based indicator of your content's effectiveness. This score offers a quick overview, helping you identify areas for improvement.

Setting up Content Benchmarks🏆

Creating a personalized content benchmark is the next step. Since content benchmarks vary by category, setting your own standards for different elements is crucial. Define benchmarks for:

  • Product title length
  • Product description length
  • Number of bullet points
  • Number of images

Specify minimum and maximum values for these elements, ensuring an optimal content score falls within the range.

Extend your benchmark to include:

  • Presence of A+ content
  • Presence of A+ comparison table
  • Presence of videos
  • Presence of a brand story
  • Presence of an Amazon Prime label
  • Presence of a Climate Pledge Friendly label
  • Presence of the Amazon's Choice label

Adding to the flexibility, you can assign individual weights to each content element. For instance, if product title length is twice as important as the number of bullet points, you can adjust the weights accordingly. This customized approach empowers you to enhance your content strategy and elevate your overall Amazon performance.

Reading the Content Score🚦

Introducing an effortlessly understandable Traffic Light System for your Content Score, designed to enhance readability and save you time.

Here's a quick breakdown of the colors associated with your content score range:

  • 0 - 33%: Red - Highlights content quality in the lower range of the benchmark. Action is required
  • 34 - 66%: Yellow - Represents decent quality, placing it in the middle range of the content benchmark. Action might be required
  • 67 - 100%: Green - Signals high content quality, surpassing the benchmark. All good.

The categorization mentioned above is applicable to both the overall content score and individual content elements.

For variables exhibiting binary values, such as A+ content, the color green signifies presence, while red denotes absence.
