Lookback Windows and Data Retention in Advertising

When you first connect your advertising accounts with our tool, it's crucial to be aware of the specific lookback windows for different campaign types, also known as data retention periods or simply historical data periods. These windows determine how many days of historical data we can retrieve initially for you and show in the tool.

Please note: Amazon lookback windows only determine the amount of days that can be accessed initially, and do not influence how long emax digital stores data for you in general!

In Amazon Sponsored Advertising and DSP, the lookback windows are as follows:

  • 95 days in Sponsored Products.

  • 60 days in Sponsored Brands.

  • 65 days in Sponsored Display.

  • 95 days in Sponsored Television.

  • 95 days in Amazon DSP.

Understanding dates in Data Connections:

To determine when an account was connected, simply click on "Manage" within the data connections section. From there, you can search for the Ads Console specific to your marketplace and country. This will allow you to view the data connection details.

If you've recently connected your account, you can count back from the date of connection to understand your data retention window. This will help you comprehend the timeframe for which your advertising data will be available initially in our tool.
